The Ashes at Endon saw Liz and Paul getting married on a day full of enjoyment and emotion as family and friends travelled from far and wide to celebrate their union. The wedding party got ready at the rustic Barns at Alderlee before being chauffeured to the venue in fine style by a trio of classic Minis from Italian Job Mini Hire. The lovely wedding ceremony was accompanied by a string trio up on the balcony, and we even had a furry extra guest turn up in the form of the venue owners’ cat! Following the drinks and canapé reception it was decided that we would brave the rain and so we ventured outside for the confetti throw, before retreating back into the welcoming warmth of the West Barn as Liz and Paul mingled with their guests. It was soon time to move into the East Barn, where a brilliant movie-themed table plan greeted guests in the ante-room. The barn looked amazing, beautifully dressed by Bloomin Wonderful. After some emotional and humorous speeches, the wedding breakfast was served. Although much of the day was beset by showers, there was an opportunity later in the day for Liz and Paul to go outside for some photographs as the clouds parted and the sun came out. The evening’s entertainment was provided in the form of magic from Nick Rushton and live music from the retro-flavoured Vintage Blossom band, and nature was kind enough to provide a rainbow for a few fleeting moments. This wedding had it all, we hope you enjoy looking through a selection of photos from the day.
