Emma and Tony got married at The Upper House at Barlaston, a beautiful venue set in 10 acres of landscaped gardens and rolling countryside. This historic building dates back to 1845 when it was constructed for Josiah Wedgwood’s son Francis and now serves as a hotel, restaurant and wedding venue. The day started brightly as the bridal party convened early at Heads High for hairdressing with makeup by Fiona Brunt. Final preparations took place at Emma’s parents before being expertly chauffeured to The Upper House by Heritage Wedding Cars. The ceremony took place in the wonderfully light and airy Novello Room and the Woodland Suite welcomed the evening guests for a lively reception. Although the weather prevented us from venturing too far beyond the warmth of the building, we were still able to take some beautiful portraits in the characterful wood-panelled foyer, the welcoming lounge and stylish bridal suite. It was a hugely enjoyable day to be part of and everyone was in great spirits despite the blustery February weather.
